Blue anemone flowers painted with ink and mineral pigments on rustic wood panel. Initially meant to be covered with Japanese washi, the grain of the wood panel was so appealing that anemone flowers made it to the wood naturally. Anemone are called アネモネ, which is a transliteration from English. When writtein in kanji, they are translated as "wind flowers" and are meant to protect the owner from evil.
The wood panel has a hanging sawtooth in the back and doesn't require a frame. It will look best in a floater frame, but ultimately the choice is yours. It is covered with washi paper on the sides and painted over for a more pleasing overall look, even though the wood panel is quite primitive.
The painting is signed and coated with archival varnish. Please note that colours may differ due to differences in devices.
