It's an abstract piece based on old Japanese tales about the bamboo, the tenacious carp, and dreams about the unattainable. 
 
The watercolours are transparent, natural blues, similar to water reflections. Orange, red and gold of the fish and sun complement the dreamy bamboo forest.
 
The painting is signed, sealed, wet-mounted on backing rice paper and ready to be framed or mounted on a scroll. Please use acid-free adhesives when framing. The painting is manually cut, please leave a few mm error margin for dimensions. Colours may differ due to differences in devices.
