Yasa Art Studios is an artist-run business, offering ink and oil paintings, as well as art supplies for (mostly) Oriental style art. Opened in 2022 as an artwork-only business, selling paintings directly from the artist. However, many art collectors and artist friends inquired about materials for ink paintings, either for personal use or for gifts. As a result, an art supplies section was added in 2024. For the time being, Yasa Art Studios is an online store with a global customer base.

 

Yasa's paintings are kept in private collections in Canada and USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden; Australia, Qatar, South Korea, and Singapore.

Art

All paintings are done by Yasa, a Canadian artist based in the sunny island of Malta. Yasa studied ink wash painting and calligraphy in China, Japan and Canada. She travelled extensively in Asia, caught the bug of complex simplicity and rich symbolism of Oriental art aesthetics, and painted casually for quite some time. Once Yasa's friends and family have run out of empty walls to hang the paintings, she started a small business selling her art. It turned out to be a huge success. 

 

Yasa is painting in freehand style, with ink and watercolours on a variety of traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean papers. Symbolism explanations are included for many images, focusing primarily on Japan.

Oil paintings: Yasa studied academic art in the atelier setting in Malta and exhibited her work in Malta as well. She is working mostly in oils, painting portraits, landscapes and still life.
