Wild Maltese Irises, hand-drawn with oil pastels on pastel paper. Inspired by the charming wild irises found in the outskirts of Rabat and Dingli. Discovering irises in Malta was surprising, they are very pretty, light to dark purple in colour depending on variety. They grow in clusters on patches or rocky soil, oblivious to their fragile beauty.
