It's very romantic and beautiful. The calligraphy inscription is a haiku poetry by Kobayashi Issa:  花の陰 赤の他人は なかりけり  [hana no kage / aka no tanin wa / nakari keri] which translates as: Under the cherry blossoms strangers are not really strangers.
