Mt Fuji as seen from shinkansen train window.  Ink and watercolours on mulberry paper. Inspired by the scenery seen by the artist while travelling between Tokyo and Kyoto. Instead of recycling postcard images of Fuji-san and cherry blossoms, the artist painted this everyday view of Fuji-san with orchards and towns smudged by the speed of the train.  
 
Smaller variations of the painting on different paper are avaialble in store as well. 
 
The painting is signed, sealed, wet-mounted on backing rice paper and ready to be framed or mounted on a silk scroll. Please use acid-free adhesives when framing. The painting is manually cut, please leave a few mm error margin for dimensions. Colours may differ due to differences in devices.
