Mount Fuji as seen from shinkansen train window.  Ink and watercolours on beige rice paper. Inspired by the scenery I saw while travelling between Tokyo and Kyoto. Instead of recycling postcard images of Fuji-san and cherry blossoms, I painted this everyday view of Fuji-san with orchards and towns smudged by the speed of the train.
