Felt mat for Chinese and Japanese painting and calligraphy. Good for working with Asian papers - bamboo, mulberry, all papers under the "rice paper" heading. 
Care instructions: do not wash in the washing machine, do not use detergents. The mat will eventually absorb ink and colour and will lose its clean look. 
Cleaning: soak in cold water for 30 min or longer if necessary. Rinse in cold water several times as required. Dry on flat surface. It will take ages to dry but you will not ruin it this way.
